Typical Chemical Composition of ULTRA E91T-1 Weld Metal

The undiluted weld metal chemistry of ULTRA E91T-1 FCAW wire is carefully controlled to achieve high temperature strength and creep resistance. Typical composition includes approximately 0.08% Carbon, 1.20% Manganese, 0.50% Silicon, 2.25% Chromium, and 1.00% Molybdenum.

This Cr-Mo alloy system provides enhanced oxidation resistance, improved creep strength, and superior performance under prolonged thermal exposure.

Mechanical Properties of ULTRA E91T-1 Flux Cored Welding Wire

The weld metal deposited by ULTRA E91T-1 welding wire exhibits excellent mechanical performance. Typical ultimate tensile strength is around 620 MPa, with yield strength approximately 520 MPa. The weld metal also delivers good elongation of about 26% and impact toughness around 60 Joules at -29°C.

These properties ensure structural integrity, resistance to thermal fatigue, and reliable performance in high-pressure and high-temperature environments.

Key Features of ULTRA E91T-1 Flux Cored Welding Wire

Excellent mechanical strength at elevated temperatures

Low hydrogen weld metal deposit

Good impact strength at sub-zero temperatures

High crack resistance and creep resistance

Smooth, stable arc with low spatter

Designed for critical pressure and alloy steel welding

These features make ULTRA E91T-1 FCAW wire a dependable choice for long-service, high-temperature applications.

Recommended Welding Parameters for ULTRA E91T-1 FCAW Wire

ULTRA E91T-1 flux cored welding wire is available in 1.2 mm and 1.6 mm diameters. The recommended amperage range is approximately 140 to 300 amperes, depending on wire diameter and welding position. Welding should be carried out using DCEP (Electrode Positive).

The wire is suitable for use with COâ‚‚ shielding gas or Argon-COâ‚‚ mixed gas. When using mixed shielding gas, it is recommended to reduce the voltage by 1 to 2 volts to maintain arc stability and bead profile.
